To keep players in Entropia Universe amused until the spaceships are implemented on 21st of June 2011, MindArk introduced some sort of competition. The person with the biggest loot in game will win Medium Fighter, but no one knows what that will be exactly. This will benefit mostly Planet Arkadia and was probably made fast after two unsuccessful version updates that were supposed to fix hunting bugs, treasure hunting bug, mining bug, and all kind of stuff that didn't allowed Planet Arkadia to become playable planet and people are rushing back to Planet Calypso to be able to play their favorite MMORPG.
So here am I stuck on Arkadia for few more days and the only meaningful thing I can think of is trying to win that Medium Fighter hunting L2 Halix Young on Planet Arkadia. The loot was terrible, but at least I got mining HOF 269 PED while I was hunting. Also got a claim inside one Firebase.

I got two globals on Rocktropia and the music is great, but the new Club Neverdie with no textures on the walls, the promised unlimited guns that turnout not to drop, the promised event that I was planing to win that Sunday and there was no event, and the constant crashing when I get to some town made me come back to Calypso few weeks earlier than planned. I was even going to start the escape the prison mission, but I just couldn't get to the mission broker because the too many mobs around it make me crash after 1-2 seconds.
But enough about RockTropia, other unexpected problem was when I got home with loot from two different planets. Half of the loot is the same and still I had problem finding space for all my stuff. The limit to the inventory is 500, in addition to that I have 500 item points in the shops and all this wasn't enough so I had to put some stuff in my apartment to be able to run again. So the last two days I spend my time in game trying to find place for all my stuff. I bought a lot of boxes and that raised the price of small boxes with 2 PED on the auction. And I don't want to think what will happen when I travel to Arkadia and come back.
I started hunting with Kinetic Attack Chip I (L) and after 5 months of hunting I discovered that the Kinetic and Electric chips use the same profession - Electro Kinetic. This means that if you want to use big Electric chip you can skill up with small Kinetic chip and vice verse.
First thing when I came back to Calypso was to visit the Chug's Hideout and the Hangars and get all new teleporters there. And the second was to go hunt the new creature on Calypso - Shinkiba. I killed 325 Shinkiba and now I am at 3502/5000 Shinkiba mission. I was lucky to loot 5 pieces of the new Colonizer armor. 50 PEDs last for very long time if you hunt with Kinetic Attack Chip I (L). The healing cost is too big, but I don't mind since I am skilling up. And the chip decay is big, but then loot is big too. 50 PED ammo with big decay on the chips made my loot go up to 58.64 PED or 117.28 % TT return before decay. Just one more hunt that makes you think eco don't mean anything in Entropia Universe.

Today I decided to try Kinetic Attack Chip I (L) and kill some Zombie with it for the mission Boot Camp 3 - BioDome Defense on RockTropia. I went to the same land area as yesterday and today I discovered that there is a hunting tax of 5%. It is funny land area. Huge place with tax 5% with small hole in it with two teleporters and tax 0%. So when I arrived at the TP yesterday I sow tax 0% and I decided that this is for the big green area. Both areas seem to be owned by Kevin Rudolf. I'm not sure what the situation is exactly. I will investigate further during my stay on RockTropia.
The other thing that will need firther investigation is the possibility that loot is connected to your offensive cost. Yesterday I was hunting Zombie at the same spot as today with more eco gun - Sollomate Opalo, SGA Edition. The decay of the gun was very small and I got 69% TT return before the decay and 67% TT return after the decay. Today my decay was huge, but my loot was good so I got 96% TT return before the decay and 69% TT return after the decay.
In the end all I got was 2% difference between hunting with the most eco gun in the game and the "un-eco" mindforce chip. Two percents for 50 PED hunt is nothing. Of course making conclusions based on two small hunts is bad idea. But this is definitely something that I will try to find in my future hunts. I started thread on the forum: Loot related to the cost of the kill - Eco goess out of the window!
Tomorrow (19 of April 2011) is big day for RockTropia. RockTropia 2.0 update is coming and it may bring some big things like:
- No way out Maximum security Prison is now a fully functional correctional facility.
- Multiple Farms added for harvesting Entropia Universe live stock. WTF
- Entropia Universe indigenious wild life introduced to habitat. WTF
- Large addition of unlimited weapons to be discovered. WTF or yeah, cool
- Increased mineral spawns planet wide.
I'm not sure what this update will bring to the game, but we are going to find out soon enought.
