Unlocking Extraction Skill

Finally I have unlocked Extraction hidden skill on 15 of March 2015. It only took me 4 years, 4 months and 4 days. May be becouse I am mainly hunter and Sunday miner. Achieved with CryEngine 2, Planet Arkadia, Mining Mania 2015 and Level 10 amp for the final push. The bad news is that for the next unlock I will need even more time. Also I mostly mine unamped, but yesterday I felt good mining with amp and this will be bad for my ped card.

Notes

All of the qualifying resources can be found on all Entropia Universe planets.

Qualifying loots will be determined using internal server logs, which record values to 6 decimal places. Note that in-game global messages only display integer values for loot PED values, and are sometimes rounded.

For the Mining Mania reward packages, there is a limit of one reward per participant. In cases where a single participant achieves a loot closest to 150 PED on more than one of the qualifying resources, the 2nd closest loot to 150 PED will receive the reward. Prizes will be determined in alphabetical order of the qualifying resources.

You found Something Out Of The Ordinary

I was mining as usual at Treasure Island on Calypso and just found something out of the ordinary or SOOTO for short. I just droped the probes and got 14 Hansidian Rock in my inventory. No need to even extract it from the ground. It is just 0.14 PED, but the MU is insane - 4163% weekly MU. If I am not wrong this is 5.82 PED. Not much, but it is nice to see SOOTO in your loot window. This is my first SOOTO for more than 2 years.

Profitable mining in Entropia Universe

I found interesting offer on Planet Calypso Forum for experienced miners that loose a lot of PEDs and want to change that. Too bad you have to be over level 30 in mining professions to take the offer and I am lower than that. So the question is what do i have to offer. Right?

1. Level 30 in pros/surv : Maxed tk320 basically is a requirement.
2. Bankroll of 5-10k peds : Yes, you will need to actually show me you have that sort of peds ( I am not looking for un amped miners)
3. Agreement based on predefined % : You will be selling all the stuff to me at a discount of course , but the discounted price will be high enough for you to make good margins as well.
4. No Of People : I will only work with a group of 5 persons whom i will select based on my interaction with the individuals.
5. Experience : If you are already doing well with things the way you are, then i don't think it would make sense and hence i request those who profit already to skip the offer
6. Hof/Global Fetish : If you have one of those, please skip over as we dont have the same line of thought at all. If Foma makes you happy, then we are on opposite horizons and as such i cannot give you what you want.

Mining with Finder F-103 from Fort Ares to Ashi

Today I'm going to reveal my favorite mining path. It is not the usual boring lonely walk with no people or creature around.
I am armed with my Gremlin armor and Isis LR23 (L) to clear my path. Down the road I kill Feffoid, Maffoid and sometimes Argonaut. Very often I get globals from the Feffoid and Maffoid. Last few days I got 392 PED HOF Gazzurdite Stone, one solo hunting global from Feffoid, one solo hunting global from Feffoid and one team hunting global from Maffoid.
My mining run starts from Fort Ares. I run to an Outpost on South so I don't come near Longu that usually kill me. And then go East to Ashi.
I search for Mineral Ore and Energy Matter at the same time. Works for me so far.
Just hours after I posted this I got another 57 PED Wool global from Maffoid close to fort Ares.

Planet Arkadia - The Treasure Hunting Planet and Miners Heaven

Planet Arkadia is advertised as a Massively Multiplayer Online virtual world, set within Entropia Universe. Free to join and there are no subscription fees to this Sci-Fi MMORPG, and it has a Real Cash Economy pegged to the US dollar. An exciting planet centered around Treasure Hunting.
Here are some reasons why Planet Arkadia is the best planet for miners and expecialy new miners.
1.Treasure hunting is not yet enabled, but it will be soon and the people that will enjoy it most and will have the highest skills in treasure hunting will be the miners. Also they even now spend their time walking around and dropping probes looking for valuable resources. Treasure hunting will be easy task for them. In the other hand if you are a hunter you will need a lot of time and peds to get skills to use the basic mining tools and be able to search for treasures effectively. And since Planet Arkadia is centered around Treasure Hunting miners will be happy to call it home.
2.The landscape is good for walking by foot. If you are miner and you want to walk from the one end of the planet to the other dropping probes without the need to use vehicles or TP chips this planet is for you. Also the creatures are not very aggressive and let you walk and drill close to them (at least until the last version update).
3.The skills needed to use the starting mining equipment from Planet Arkadia are less then you need to use the starting mining equipment from Planet Calypso. This is very important if you are new miner. But you cannot buy Rookie mining equipment on Arkadia.
4.At the moment noob miners have the same chance as the experienced miners. Loot distribution here on Arkadia seems more like the loot in hunting where old miners cannot get better ores and en matters than the noobs. Which increase the success of the noob miners.
5.I am noob miner. I came to Planet Arkadia with almost no mining skills. For 10 days I got 2 HOFS and 1 global in mining and skilled my mining skills so I can use the Calypso mining tools on max now. And all this with very little play time.

Mining Ore with Ziplex Z1 Seeker at the North-East region on Arkadia

I think there is reason North-East end of the map not to have teleporter. It's just not filled with minerals. That's 1 possible reason why I got 25% return. Also it may be because I globaled soon. Or the reason is my previous blog post and MindArk or Arkadia Studios lowered my loot to 25%.

Mining Ore with Ziplex Z1 Seeker at the Ice region on Arkadia

After my last mining run I log in to teh game at the spot that I left previous day. And droped few probes. And I decided to go to the nearest town to sell some stuff. And before I press T boom global 287 Lysterium Stone. My best global so far and my first in mining. Actualy I have been mining with real, not the rookie gear, 2 days only. And I was level 1 or 0 in my Mining professions. And I was ready to do one more mining run even if the return is not very good I am still going to be on proffit.
Also I found that the Arkadia starting TT Excavator is better then the Calypso starting TT Excavator. I mean you can max it faster. And now I can use it on max when I extract ores. When I gain more mining skills I will probably switch back to the Calypso extractor.
This time I went to the snow part of the Arkadia, but I don't like mining there. First half of the mining run was good, but then it all got empty and almost no claims.

Mining Ore with Ziplex Z1 Seeker at the Desert on Arkadia

Hunting seems to be bugged now. At least you get a lot of Failed messages. Good time to skill in mining. I am noob miner and never got any luck on Calypso, but on Arkadia I found few IX claims with the TT finder and my TT return is usualy around 100% and some of the stones I find has decent MU and it seems more profitable for me than hunting.
I got some really nice TT finder. It gains 0.1 tier for every 10 drops. I tiered it to level 1 just with 1 mining run. And until level 8 all tier rates are with 3 digits. Soon I will have tier 8 finder. This run I did in the desert on Arkadia. With 100 drops I have to cross big distance. I haven't maxed the Excavator so I expect my TT return to get even better when I get some skills.
Soon after that mining run I got my first mining global ever. It was in the desert on Arkadia. I got 287 PED of Lysterium Stone. Level XVI claim.

This is mining run before the big mining update on 17 of May 2011 when MindArk with VU 11.10 made big change in the mining system. There are now 2 new mining professions and 1 new space related profession. Also the ore tools are combined with the en-matter tools. 

After few not so successful hunts I decided to try my luck in mining. I am just starting with this profession, but I decided to go out with the TT equipment instead of the rookie one. I still don't have the skills to use it on max but I still got few good claims and also a lot of skills. And probably I had some beginers luck and finished on profit that day.
