Ring transformation system - Buff stack system
Questions regarding the utility of the many limited rings currently found in Classified Strongboxes have arisen.
A system in which a number of rings (and other items) can be combined and transformed into something else, for example one superior ring, is currently in development. The system is intended not just to provide a use for lesser rings; it will be an exciting new feature in its own right.
We are also looking into the current buff effect stacking logic. Our intent is to, in a balanced way, improve the benefits of combining buff effects of the same type from multiple sources (such as rings, consumables, tools and pets), as well as to allow for the stacking of some buffs that are not currently stackable.

PayPal withdrawals from Entropia Universe for the US
Attention all Entropia Unvierse participants in the US who have registered a withdrawal.
MindArk will start using PayPal for transferring withdrawals starting with participants in the US.
Today Entropia Universe via MindArk sends all its payments/bank transfers to US-residents to Bank of America, we have been informed that Bank of America will increase their fees (starting July 1, 2015) and they will start charging an itermediary fee of 30USD, that on top of the fee that your bank charge you for receiving the transfer.
If you want your withdrawal to be transferred a bit more rapidly and with a cheaper rate, create a PayPal account and email your Paypal address in a support case under the Withdrawal category.
We will then transfer your withdrawal amount to your PayPal account and you will not be charged any fees for the transfer, if you choose to not do so and your withdrawal is due, the payment will be sent via bank transfer and bank fees will be about 36USD in total.

Classified Strongboxes require a Classified Strongbox Key to be opened. To reveal the contents of a Classified Strongbox, simply double-click on the Classified Strongbox item in the inventory. The items found are placed in the inventory. The Classified Strongbox and Classified Strongbox Key are both consumed in the process.
Every Classified Strongbox contains items for 10 PED, which can only be revealed upon opening.

About rings
Rings are a new equippable type of garment, currently available exclusively from Classified Strongboxes.
The powerful buff effects provided by the new rings are continuously active while the item is equipped. Note that many buff effects do not stack; if a buff from another source is applied to an avatar with a buff of the same type already active, only the most powerful buff effect will apply.
Each ring is designated to either the right hand or left hand equip slot.
Rings are currently not visible on avatar bodies.
Currently rings deteriorate a small amount when being equipped. Additional deterioration may be implemented in a future Version Update, if systems for time-based deterioration are implemented.

The two players take turns choosing what ability their pet will use next. The key to success in battle is to manage your pet’s health, mana, stamina, abilities and cooldowns in order to overcome your opponent. Just before the battle begins, you choose your ability set and apply buffs to your pet in order to maximize the effectiveness of your strategy and play style.
In the final product your pet will battle in vibrant environments, and have a vast amount of different abilities to choose from, which will cater to all play styles and strategies.

Hey Arkadians / Entropians
We are pleased to let you know that we have released an application to keep you up to date with the happenings on Planet Arkadia and any official news across Entropia Universe.
With this Push Notification app, you will be able to keep up to date with all official news sent directly to your phone. From the latest news, events and activities to IFN notifications, Smuggler interceptions and so much more.
The application is only available to Android devices at this moment. We are working on an iOS version of the application.
Please also note that this application is extremely basic at the moment. More features will be added in the future, but discussions will be opened on a separate forum for input.

CLD Estate Plots
The latest Version Update brings the first stage of the long-awaited CLD Estates system. Calypso Land Deed (CLD) holders will have the opportunity to use their CLDs to bid on CLD Estate plots located in two beautiful new residential locations. New settlements with additional CLD Estate plots will be added in upcoming Version Updates.
Development of structures on CLD Estates will be implemented in Autumn 2015, with larger plots planned to accommodate more advanced structures with potential commercial functions such as shopping and more.
Plots are available in four standard sizes and will offer different development opportunities depending on size.

Claiming CLD Estate Plots
CLD Estate plots will become available on Wednesday, June 17.
CLD Estate plots are claimed with Calypso Land Deeds. To claim a plot, interact with the Plot Terminal located with the normal Estate Terminal near each plot. ***Note that the Plot Terminals will not be visible until the plots become available on June 17***
The Plot Terminal will display the Address and current CLD Requirement to claim the plot, along with the time remaining until the next requirement update when the CLD Requirement will decrease (until the minimum CLD Requirement is reached).
Larger plots may also have an additional requirement in the form of building materials; unlike the CLD Requirement, additional requirements do not decrease over time.
After clicking the Buy button, a confirmation dialog will appear confirming the conversion of the required Calypso Land Deeds to Calypso Land Deed (X) items to claim the selected plot.
Calypso Land Deeds (X) continue to receive weekly CLD revenue, but can no longer be used to claim CLD Estate plots.
Note that some of the plots in the new settlements are reserved for future use and are not able to be claimed. Each settlement features a large bazaar in the center as well as service centers on the outskirts and small 10x10m plots for monuments and other functions.

New Content
Aakas Chambers
Chests are back - Aakas Doors work as previously, you will need a team to enter these just as before, and the chests are put back into this team based version.
(for now only Aakas 1-5 and the Golden Door are open, Aakas 6-10 will be activated with the patch next week)
Oratan Activity
Secret Oratan Camp - Rumors are that the Smugglers have found a secret Oratan Camp
Recent events in Arkadia Underground seem to have been a warning about the Oratan Wave Attacks that are happening down there now, head for Limbo Firebase to help protect Arkadias' Underground.
New Trophies added
Trophies for stage 4 completion of IFN Challenge Monura Female, Monura Male, Dromia, Arkadian Hornet and Pandi are now available, if you have completed stage 4 of any these creatures previously all you have to do is activate the IFN terminal and you will receive your trophy.
General fixes
Pet icons have been corrected to display the pet
Pandi pup has lost its fear of humans so is no longer hiding underground, special thanks to IFN that kept the island safe from poachers
Aakas televators are now visible even on Safe Mode settings
Additional Information
8 coins is now one big landarea instead of several smaller areas.
Oratan Lancer Notable, Eminent, Glorious, Illustrious and Immortal have increased their range of attack (to prevent them going into unreachable state)
General improvements to the New Player Experience have been made as well.

Settlement Update
The Athena Spaceport region has received heavy terrain landscaping. Colonists are urged to scout the area to identify altered grazing areas and predator habitats, as well as potential robot activity.
Dr. Udenis in South Swamp Camp (near Port Atlantis) is offering several missions for newly-arrived colonists.
Several new tamable creatures have been spotted around Calypso, with rumors that some of those may be a direct result of the unsanctioned experiments being conducted by the rogue scientist Veyg Crenter.
Partner Buildings in Athena Spaceport
Several new temporary structures have been implemented on Calypso in cooperation with several new real-world Entropia Universe partners.
Human Flourishing Universe (HFU) - A purpose-driven VR platform for education and collaboration on business, social, health, wellbeing, environment issues with a gameplay built on compassion and altruism stimulating human advancement.
Planet Employability (PLE) is a leading emerging planet in the new Human Flourishing Universe (HFU), here you can link to the PLE Module where participants can complete an employability skills audit and undertake missions and assignments to improve their employability skills and/or engage in a digital internship.
Hub Culture is a collaboration network with activities online and in the real world. The Hub Culture Estate at the Athena Spaceport offers an environment for connections and social interactions among Hub Culture members around the world. Additional functions are available inside Hub Culture at a corresponding Spaceport within the social network. (www.hubculture.com/pavilions/spaceport)
CLD Plots
The first batch of CLD Plots have been implemented on the Eudoria continent. Plot auctions will begin on Wednesday, June 17. Plots can be claimed in a reverse-bidding auction system by visiting the Estate Terminal for the desired plot. Full details of the CLD plot system will be posted on the Entropia Universe Buzz page later today.
Calypso Land Deeds
Once a Calypso Land Deed has been used to claim a CLD plot, it is converted to a new item named Calypso Land Deed (X), which indicates that the plot rights for the deed have been exercised. Calypso Land Deeds (X) will continue to receive weekly revenue payouts identical to regular CLDs.

Features
Mission Galactica
A new universe-wide mission has been added and can be accessed via the Action Library. Full details of this exciting new mission will be posted on the Entropia Universe Buzz page very soon.
Harvesting
A new resource gathering system has been introduced allowing participants to harvest natural resources. The first phase of this system features wood harvesting. Resource nodes can be found near appropriate terrain object, so knowledge of the local environment will allow one to locate valuable resource nodes more easily.
A new Resource Gatherer profession has been created, along with its related primary skill Resource Gathering. The TerraTech PH-1, a basic wood harvesting tool, can be purchased at Trade Terminals on all planets. Higher level harvesting tools can be manufactured with the required blueprints.
When a harvesting tool is equipped, the resource node that the tool can extract will show up in the world when within range. Using the tool on such a resource will extract natural material. There are different resource tiers, and harvesting tools have a rating indicating the highest resource tier that can be harvested (along with any lower tiers). Each resource node can only be harvested a limited number times, and each has a short timer after which the node will disappear. Faster and more powerful harvesting tools are thus required to extract the maximum amount of resources before a node is exhausted.
Taming
Two new passive pet buffs have been implemented: Decrease Critical Damage & Loot Collection.
Several new creatures are available to be tamed across various planets.

Footstep sounds have been improved.
Improvements to draw distance and particle effects have been implemented to improve graphics performance.
Fixed Issues
An issue causing missing footstep sounds in certain areas has been corrected.
Known Issues
An issue has been identified related to the Mission Tracker interface causing client crashes when travelling between planets. This issue will be corrected in the patch scheduled for June 23. Until then, untrack missions during interplanetary travel to avoid client crashes.
When accessing the Pet Center Manager terminal there is an internal error dialogue, this can be ignored as everything is working as normal. This is due to the new plot system.

Cyrene June 2015 VU Preview
Hey guys,
Kris here again to let everyone preview some of the things for the next PP VU here on Planet Cyrene. I'd like to start by congratulating all players for unlocking the Zyn Forest to Level 1 and getting the Rhino Beetle and Mang Chang pets available. We also have a Paneleon pet coming as well bringing the total number of pets that can be acquired on Cyrene now to 4. In honor of this we've also changed up the Pet Center a bit and allowed it to show off the pets.
Before we get into the new stuff we have some improvements to existing Cyrene content that should be noted. We have fixed a large number of missions including the Gear Up: New Fap chain along with fixing the parameters of those rewards, as well as all the seek and find missions. We didn't forget the A.R.C. Summoner mission either, each NPC now correctly awards a Badge and the Turret issue has been corrected. Also, MindArk has informed me that the issue with the texture issue with many of the Cyrene Textures will be resolved this coming VU as well. The NPCs in the A.R.C. Staging Area have also been housed and grouped appropriately to make collecting and turning in missions easier along with reduced client load. The A.R.C. Faction Terminals also now have their own wing in the Hub with plenty of room for future expansions. All of these are happening with various other fixes/changes.
As for A.R.C. Rank 3, we're still hammering out the details with MindArk as a whole, from missions, to badge usage, as well as reward and cost schema. So there will not be any new A.R.C. Faction Missions for only Rank 3 for the VU but we're very hopeful that for the Mini Patch there will be Rank 3 content available for the players who are ready for it.
Now for the new content! We're very happy to introduce two new creatures here on Cyrene, the Nimet and the Venataur!
The Nimet is a lower level creature (threat levels 6 - 12) that deals area damage with high stamina, while the Venataur is a mid level creature (threat levels 15 - 28) that takes after its master, the Fenris Mech. Both of these creatures have new Kill Point mission chains associated with them. Along with these there are also new 50,000 Kill Point Missions for Dire Weed, Crystal Pedes, and TIde Claws for players that have completed the previous versions.
We also have over 40 new mining iron missions coming this VU, with a reward focus on Surveyor Skill.
Carnap's landing is our new Land Area on here on Planet Cyrene, it is located near the Sky Labs and Turrelion Desert, but on its own island. We wanted to add in this Land Area in preparation for Hard Launch and will be adding subsequent updates to it. We'll be adding some sought after universal mining spawns and special creature spawns here for the Mini Patch.
Last but certainly not least is the newest Platformer: The Sky Labs Platformer. Able to be accessed near the Sky Labs Teleporter this is the first open world platformer (but no vehicles allowed). Players will be able to attempt this one for rewards as well similar to the M.A.R.I.O.V.R. & L.U.I.G.I.V.S. however, falling during this puzzle will prove to be more of a nuisance that inside the instanced platformers.

BATTALIA: The Creation - perhaps your next board game
If you like board games, here is one fun game that just went live on Kickstarter. A competitive, fast pace, strategic deck builder, which combines map construction, hero and area control and unique calendar mechanics.
BATTALIA: The Creation is a medium weight strategy game for 2-4 players, ages 13 and up. An expansion for up to 6 players is on our schedule, but for now let’s focus on the basics: the game combines the mechanics of map construction, deck building, hero and area control and unique calendar mechanics.
In the base game, you will buy useful artefacts and hire battle units to support your armies, you will build roads and cities and send your heroes to battle - you will have to find the most powerful mixture of all these assets and apply them at the right moment, so you could claim to be the rightful ruler of Battalia and win the game. A victory can be obtained through aggressive conquest or a peaceful development of your own city system (if you are lucky and the others let you ... :) .
The interesting game play will provide you with the opportunity to make key decisions and turn the tides of even the grimmest outcomes. A player can outmaneuver and BE outmaneuvered by his opponents at any point during the game. Dynamic atmosphere and intense battles are key factors in the overall experience, however the game strives to stimulate planning and strategy over rash and impulsive decisions.
In general this is not a luck based game, because of the core deck building mechanics, but a die is integrated as an optional element and is the ingredient, which spices up the game for all the fortunate fellows! You will find also an element of bluffing, when you fight your battles, so put the poker face on and be ready to outsmart your opponent.
The game is defined by the unique combination of mechanics, aesthetic art style, and the presence of large scale 3D Hero figures in four colors, representing the leaders of the players army and their movement on the board.

Oratan Birthday Bash
If you are ready for some action, please assemble at REPULSE FIREBASE (Coordinates 15015, 15047).
The attacks are estimated to hit on Friday the 29th May 2015 @ 20:00 and expected to end as soon as every last Oratan has been eliminated.
The IFN personnel will be available to give healing so get ready for full support.
The attacks are estimated to hit on Friday the 29th May 2015 @ 20:00 and expected to end as soon as every last Oratan has been eliminated.
